"Well another week has gone by really fast. We've been really busy. We taught Konomi the Plan of Salvation with little visual aids to help her understand more, and the spirit was so strong there, it was crazy and she understood all of it. We had her teach it back to us to make sure."
"Jared has it real hard right now (this is his good friend Jared Ward from home serving in Guatemala), cold showers, chickens and dogs everywhere, and it's really hot. But he told me he is going to love it. Mike (his other friend Mike Hansen serving in Chile) is doing really good, he got to baptize someone his second day out there, and he is the Young Men's President in his branch, and he has only been out since the 26 of December. Shaun hasn't met Suren yet, but they will eventually meet. He has less than a year left now." His friend Shaun Mangelson is serving in Montevideo, Uruguay where our first foreign exchange student lives. Suren lived with us in 1996-97. He went home and was later baptised, and served his own mission in Boston, Massachusetts. Suren finished his mission in the spring of 2001, and Andy and I moved there in the summer of that same year to start dental school at Boston University. Many of the missionaries at that time knew Suren, and they were always shocked to see him in a family picture I had hanging up on the wall! Suren now works for the church as a computer network administrator. He is married to a sweet girl named Noella, and they have a beautiful baby girl named Sara who is a year old!
"Every investigator we have is doing really well. We can't be sure yet if they will commit to anything, but if they want all the blessings they better. My knowledge grows more and more everyday."
"The areas we have been going to have been really nice rich areas, because that's mostly where no one has knocked. One of the ladies said that nobody from our church has knocked her area for over 7 years, so now we know to only do the rich neighborhoods for now. A lot of nice people but not really interested. "
"I hope everyone reads the Book of Mormon like they should. My companion and I have been getting along a whole lot more than before, so that's good. Well I Love you all, and that's all that has really happened this week. Love Ya, until next week."
